 Heather King

Heather completed her Physiotherapy degree at the University of Toronto.  She also earned her Diploma in Manual and Manipulative Therapy from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association with Distinction and is certified by the Canadian Acupuncture Foundation of Canada.  She recently earned her Sport Physiotherapy Certification which created the opportunity to be a physiotherapist at the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games. Heather is an instructor at Capilano University in the Rehabilitation Assistant Diploma Program, and with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association's post graduate orthopaedic program.  She is a passionate mountain biker and has been ranked in the top 5 nationally.  Heather was part of the gold medal triathlon team at the World Masters Games 2005 and has competed in the Xterra World Championships in Hawaii. In 2008 she won the BC Cyclocross series. Her next challenge is multi-day mountain bike stage races, with the 2009 Intermontagne Challenge successfully under her belt . With her personal sport experience and clinical skills, Heather will guide you in the prevention of injuries and lead you to success with your rehabilitation program. 

 

Sophia Sauter (nee Sagur)

Sophia completed her Masters in Physiotherapy at the University of Toronto.  She holds her Diploma in Manual and Manipulative Therapy and Sports Physiotherapy Certificate from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Sophia is also a Clinical Instructor with the UBC Masters of Physiotherapy program.  In her spare time she is an avid athlete participating in running, mountain biking, skiing and triathlon events (including Ironman Canada in 2002).  She will soon add "mother of twin boys" to her list of accomplishments. Sophia combines her clinical skills and sporting experience to work with triathletes, runners, cyclists, swimmers and skiers, helping them optimize their training injury-free.  She welcomes all patients. 

 

Sharon Spinder
BHScPT, BPE

Sharon studied physiotherapy at McMaster University and has worked in sports and orthopaedic private practice since 1997. She earned her Diploma in Advanced Manual and Manipulative Therapy from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and is certified by the Canadian Acupuncture Foundation of Canada. When she’s not helping others get back to their activities and hobbies, Sharon stays busy pursuing her own: sharing good food with friends, seeing live music and theater, trail running, snowboarding, mountain biking and road riding, to name a few. This summer she plans to compete in mid-distance triathlons and road rides. Sharon combines her personal experience with sports and activities to create a treatment approach which is grounded in manual therapy, exercise and education aimed at enabling clients to return to their desired activities and hobbies quickly.


Helena Juhasz

BScPT, BKin

Helena graduated from the University of Toronto in 2003 with a Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy and from McMaster University with a degree in Kinesiology in 2000.  In 2007 she completed her examinations in Intermediate Manual and Manipulative Therapy and recently completed craniosacral therapy training. Helena’s primary interest is in the treatment of neck, upper back and pelvic disorders however she is keen to treat all sports related injuries.  She has spent two seasons providing on- and off- field medical treatment for the Premier Women’s team with the Capilano Rugby Club. In her spare time Helena enjoys downhill and cross-country mountain biking and has raced the North Shore Ripper races along with Ontario and B.C. Cup races.  In the winter months she also is an avid downhill and cross-country skier and enjoys getting into the backcountry.

 

Meredith Wilson
BHK, MPT

Associate Registered Physiotherapist

Born and raised on the North Shore, Meredith graduated at the top of her class with her Masters in Physiotherapy  from the University of British Columbia in 2009. She also holds a Bachelor in Human Kinetics has experience as a Health and Lifestyle Consultant at the John Braithwaite Community Centre. She is currently pursuing advanced training in manual and manipulative therapy, acupuncture and sports physiotherapy.  An avid endurance athlete, Meredith competes in long distance triathlons and distance running. In her spare time, when not training, she enjoys hiking, backpacking, snowshoeing, kayaking, snowboarding, and reading. Meredith’s treatment approach combines exercise, manual therapy and education to treat and prevent injuries. She welcomes all patients.
