Catherine Vipond

Physiotherapist Intern, BSc, MScPT

Catherine is excited to join the Active Life Canmore Team having recently completed her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy at the University of Alberta. After completing her Bachelor of Science specializing in Life Sciences from Queen’s University, Catherine pursued her athletic dreams competing as a professional cyclist and representing Canada as a member of the Canadian National Mountain Bike Team at several World Championships. Unfortunately, injury cut her cycling career short, but time spent in physiotherapy allowed her to fall in love with the profession. She has a strong interest in musculoskeletal injuries, injury prevention and concussion management and looks forward to helping clients regain and maintain function to reach their goals. As a new graduate, Catherine looks forward to expanding her knowledge and skills with manual therapy and dry needling courses.

Since moving to the valley in 2011 as a cyclist, Catherine has expanded her activities and can often be found in the mountains on foot, skis or two wheels with her husband Matt. Within our community, Catherine promotes physical activity as a mountain bike coach and an ambassador with the Fast and Female organization.
